COMPETITION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. These terms and conditions together with any specific rules set out in the competition notice (as defined below) constitute the competition rules (“Rules“) and apply to the competition (“Competition“), unless otherwise expressly stated.

By entering the competition, entrants agree to be bound by these rules.

  1. The Competition is organised by SchoolGrid
  2. In the event of any dispute regarding the Rules, results and all other matters relating to a Competition, the decision of SchoolGrid shall be final, and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into between SchoolGrid and Competition entrants.

 

Qualifying Entrants.

  1. To qualify to enter the competition entrants must fit the below criteria. Entrants must:

– Be over 18 years old – Be a school caterer, or hold an equivalent position in the school catering department such as chef, cook or facilities manager, or be in local authority education catering, MAT’s or school arms-length caterer in the UK

  1. By entering the competition, entrants hereby warrant that all information submitted by them is true, current and complete. SchoolGrid has the right to verify the eligibility of all entrants.
  2. SchoolGrid reserves the right to disqualify any entrant at any time if it has reasonable grounds to believe the entrant has breached any of the Rules.
  3. In the event that any entrant is disqualified from the Competition, SchoolGrid at its sole discretion may decide whether a replacement should be selected. In the event of an entrant being disqualified any further entrant will be selected on the same criteria as the original entrant and will be subject to the Rules.

 

Competition mechanism.

  1. Any qualifying entrant may enter the Competition. The permitted number of entrants is one. Any entrant who enters more than the permitted maximum will be disqualified.
  2. 9. Entries for the Competition must be made by Midnight Friday 13th December 2024 using the dedicated form.
  3. Competition entries must be made in the manner and by the closing date specified in the Competition Notice and in these terms and conditions. Failure to do so will disqualify the entry.
  4. All Competition entries are made free of charge. There is no purchase requirement to enter the Competition.

 

  1. Once the competition closes, one winner will be chosen at random by SchoolGrid by Midnight Monday 16th December 2024. If there is no response from the selected winners by Midnight Tuesday 12th December 2024, the prize will be forfeited.
  2. SchoolGrid reserves the right at any time to modify, discontinue (temporarily or permanently) this Promotion with or without prior notice due to reasons outside its control (including in the case of anticipated, suspected or actual fraud). The decision of the Promoter in all matters under its control is final and binding

Prizes. 14. The winner will receive one Fortnum and Mason Hamper.

  1. Prizes are non-transferable and there is no cash alternative. SchoolGrid reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value at any time. SchoolGrid reserves the right in its sole discretion to withhold delivery of the prize until such proof of eligibility and identity has been confirmed or if such proof is not produced on request or to disqualify the entrant from the Competition.
  2. The prize will be sent by SchoolGrid no later than 30th January 2025 in one delivery. The prize cannot be spread out across multiple deliveries.

Liability.

  1. SchoolGrid cannot accept any responsibility for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrant entering the Competition or as a result of accepting any prize. SchoolGrid is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment or software, failure of any email or entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet, telephone lines or at any web site, or any combination of these, including any injury or damage to entrant’s or any other person’s computer or mobile telephone related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in the competition. Nothing shall exclude SchoolGrid’s liability for death or personal injury as a result of its negligence.

Where SchoolGrid has disqualified an entrant, SchoolGrid will have no further liability to such entrant.

 

Data Protection and Publicity.

  1. The winner may be requested to take part in promotional activity. By taking part in the Competition, you consent to your name, photographs, audio and/or visual recordings of you, and any comments made by you relating to the prize and Competition experience being used by SchoolGrid for promotional, marketing and publicity purposes in any media worldwide without any fee being paid to you.

 

  1. Any personal data relating to entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the individual’s prior consent.

Data relating to entrants will be retained by SchoolGrid for a reasonable period after the Competition closes to assist SchoolGrid to operate future competitions in a consistent manner and to deal with any queries on the Competition.

  1. SchoolGrid (or any third party nominated by SchoolGrid) may exercise its sole discretion to use the winners’ name, and school name, relating to the prize and competition experience for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes in any media worldwide without notice or without any fee being paid.
  2. The winners agree to engage with SchoolGrid, its PR company and external media to promote the competition upon winning without any fee being paid.
  3. Information, and personal data which is provided by entrants when they enter the competition will be held and used by SchoolGrid and their suppliers and contractors in order to administer the competition.
  4. By submitting their personal details, the entrant agrees to SchoolGrid processing those details in accordance with the purposes made known the entrant at the time of entering.
  5. SchoolGrid shall comply with all applicable requirements of the Data Protection Act 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation, any successor legislation or other applicable law.
