SchoolGrid featured on the Guardians of Grub “Wall of Fame”

SchoolGrid receive recognition for championing the reduction of Food Waste on Guardians of Grubs “Wall of fame”.

SchoolGrid is joining the fight against food waste in the education industry by becoming a Guardian of Grub.

The campaign developed by WRAP supports Food Service businesses to reduce the alarming amounts of food wasted every single year. Colleagues from SchoolGrid met with a representative from WRAP and discussed how they can support their campaign, to provide a food saving framework to help individuals and businesses operating in the sector to gain traction to reduce wasted food.

SchoolGrid’s School Kitchen Management Software has a proven track record of reducing food wastage and reducing food cost by up to 10p per meal. When cooking, recipe weigh-outs mean dishes are cooked to spec, and a shopping list feature means kitchens only order the stock they actually need.

Following SchoolGrid’s Millie Caress completing the programme to become a Guardian, Eleanor Morris (Special Advisor Hospitality and Food Service at WRAP) said “We are delighted to have you on board Millie, and thank you SchoolGrid for your support”.
